An Open Letter to Michiganders Who Decorate for Halloween Before October
This is an open letter to all those Michiganders out there who decorate for Halloween super early.
Yes, I'm talking to you. The person who dusts off their Halloween decorations before a single Michigan leaf has had the chance to fall. The person who walks through a Meijer or JoAnn's at the end of July, sees the Halloween decorations out and thinks, "Heck yes, I can't wait to get home and put these decorations out!" Here's what I have to say about that...
Keep doing you!
I know there are a lot of people who don't appreciate seeing your skeletons or cobwebs out on the front lawn before the end of August; but I do. And, clearly you do too!
Those unappreciative people may think that it's wrong to see the Halloween decor out in the store right next to the back-to-school supplies. But I say pish-posh, ignore those people, honey.
You love Halloween soooo much that you said to heck with what anyone else has to say, I'm doing what makes me happy and I don't care about your opinion. And I.Am.Here.For.It.
So if you are that person who likes to decorate early for Halloween (or any holiday for that matter), I want you to grab all your decorations and put them all out whenever you want! Continue doing what makes you happy. Because at the end of the day, the only opinion about you that matters is the one you have about yourself.
Also, I can't wait to see what you have in store for Thanksgiving!
How do you feel about decorating for the holidays? Do you think every holiday has it's own time and place? Or do you put out decorations as soon as humanly possible? Let us know by sending a message through the station app.
