A Lansing Business Has Closed its Doors
Lansing has another business closure to be aware of.
Sadly, nothing can last forever. And Lansing is no stranger to businesses closing.
Lansing Business Closure
I came across the latest closure as I was driving near Saginaw and 127, I noticed a businesses was completely empty and a "for sale" sign was up.
If you're familiar with the south west corner of Saginaw and Howard, you might remember the old boat store that was there. Sadly, it is no longer.
The building for West Marine was completely empty, and had a sign on the door indicating that the brick and mortar store front was no longer.

Some good news for those who patronized that business... they're still going to exist online! You can purchase everything for your boating and pool needs at westmarine.com.

It's always sad to see a business close its doors, but it's really awesome that they will continue to be in business online.
They seem to have some lightheartedness about the situation, as this is the sign that they left behind: "Nothing is Happening Here".
The boat business shared that corner with a Subway, which is still open and in business.
What might you like to see go into that space?
I know that Lansing is longer for a Sonic, but there's no way that would be a big enough spot for it.
The closure of the boat business isn't the only change in that area. Most recently, the abandoned gas station at the south east corner Saginaw and Homer got torn down. All that's left is rubble and some construction equipment. No word on what might be happening with that location.
