I am about a week overdue for a haircut. Yesterday here in the building, I was walking down the hallway and I heard someone say jokingly, Caddy you need a haircut! And indeed I do. When I was a kid, I remember my Mom bought this gadget called the Hair Whiz. It was square and had a comb with a razor in the center on both ends. Oh, it looked easy and smooth on the TV commercial for $4.99. But NO! When we saw that thing in my Mom's hands, we headed for the hills. It hurt, was FAR from smooth and really gave a lousy uneven haircut.

Being in radio, I have moved to a lot of cities over the years. Philly, Vegas, Tampa, Detroit,  and now Lansing  I usually have to go to 2 or 3 different places before I find someone that I like and will go about every 3 weeks. It's a challenge. I also found that you get what you pay for.

I turned to Yelp to try and help me find a new place here in the area. These are the places in their top 10:

10. Jude's Barbershop - Lansing Frandor

9. Sport Clips Haircuts of West Lansing

8. Mirabella Salon

7. Supercuts

6. Lockworx...the Aveda Salon

5. Jude's Barbershop - Downtown Lansing

4. Cost Cutters

3. Blades Hair Studio

2. Classic Barber Shop

1. The Head Room Salon

I have paid anywhere from 22 bucks to 40 for a haircut, and I don't mind paying a premium for a good job.

I would love any suggestions for a great place in Lansing to go for a haircut and a GOOD scalp massage is a big PLUS. Do you go to any of the places on the Yelp list? Who is your go-to hair stylist? Let me know!
