Little heads up - if you're headed up to Huron-Manistee National Forest anytime soon, specifically Peterson-Bridge Campground, west of Cadillac, the Forest Service wants you be "Bear Aware" of the cuddly black bears they've had roaming around the campground recently.

According to MLive, the Forest Service advises keeping "all food locked up inside your vehicle, hard-sided camper or utilizing a bear-proof container. Do not bring food inside your tent. Do not leave food/coolers unattended".

And don't feed them. All those tourists getting thrown around by bison in Yellowstone, should be warning enough not to get close to wild animals. If you want to feed the bears go up into the U.P. and go to Oswald's Bear Ranch in Newberry.
