According to the Detroit Free Press, thousands of bottles of water for Flint residents were donated over the weekend by people attending a basketball tournament in Indiana. Tournament organizers of the AAU basketball tournament in Fishers had encouraged fans attending the tournament, or players participating in the tournament, to bring some water to donate to residents in Flint. There were 76 teams competing in the tournament--including two from the Flint area.

The idea caught on and thousands of bottles of water ended up being donated. Click here to see the pictures and learn more about the event. According to a report from the IndyStar, two moving trucks and a semi were filled with donations.
