“Stump the Chumps” – Are Donkeys Born Killers?

Today, our question on "Stump the Chumps" came from Torie, who asked, "what animal kills more people around the world every year than airplane crashes?" We (the Chumps) were of the opinion that it would be either cows or elephants. Tori informed us that the correct answer was donkeys. There was some discussion about how this would happen and there were numerous impressions of "Shrek" saying, "donkey". And we laughed and laughed.

What is the truth? Are donkeys dangerous? Yes. Do they kill more people every year than plane crashes? Probably not.

According to LiveScience.com, there just isn't a lot of information out there about killer donkeys. So, is Torie wrong? As the Magic 8 Ball says, "reply hazy, try again".
