Have to admit - this is the first time I've heard about Chinese freshwater jellyfish in Michigan's lakes. But, according to MLive.com, they can apparently be found in "dozens of lakes" in Michigan - and in all but six states in the U.S.

Um....what?

They're small - only about the size of a penny. And while they do sting, you might not even feel it when they do. The jellyfish have been spreading north through Michigan for quite some time and were found recently in Burt Lake.

So this weekend, be on the lookout for Chinese freshwater jellyfish (I know - sounds like the followup to snipe hunting) - and if anybody doubts you, show them this.
