The start of classes may be delayed at a southwestern Michigan school because someone stole a large amount of copper components from the school's water and ventilation systems. According to WSBT-TV, officials with the Buchanan Community School District a break-in took place last weekend or early on Monday at the middle school that is currently being renovated.

Buchanan police say the suspect or suspects may have injuries from the vandalism, including possible chemical burns, from cutting a high-pressure line. The school, which is located in Berrien County, is scheduled to start on September 8th.
