Tonight at 6PM, NASCAR plans to announce some changes. Some things may actually be good for the sport, like making sure there's a road course race during the Chase in the last 10 races.

But then there's this: according to motorsport.com,  NASCAR plans to break up EVERY race into three segments. At the end of each segment, the top ten drivers will get bonus points.

I wasn't a fan when they first did this during the All-Star Race. And that opinion hasn't changed. The reason for doing this (or so I'm told) is to prevent the drivers from hanging back until the last 20 laps and then fighting for the lead. We'll see how this works when they bring everybody into the pits after every 67 laps during the Daytona 500.
