Michigan’s Only 2016 Rhodes Scholar is From MSU – And Okemos

Congratulations to Sarah Kovan, who is one of the 32 Rhodes Scholars for 2016. Sarah, an MSU senior from Okemos, is the only 2016 Rhodes Scholar from the state of Michigan.

Sarah is the captain of the MSU soccer team. According to MLive.com, she's been a caregiver at hospice, researched economic options for low-income women in Sri Lanka, and, while studying abroad at Hebrew University, served in Israel's national ambulance corps. And now she'll be going to Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, to get her master's degree.
