We were promised a chance to see the northern lights, if the weather would cooperate last night. Well, it was crystal clear when I went out and stood, looking north, with my dog.

Nothing. I don't even think they saw them up north.

So, I get up this morning and of course, while I'm checking out what happened overnight in Scotland - I find this headline, in The Scotsman:

Northern Lights appear over Lossiemouth in Moray

Nice. Blown off for those kilt-wearing, bagpipe-blowing, haggis-eating Scots. Thanks a lot.

You DO know what haggis is, don't you?

Here's the story, with the photos we should've been taking.
