When we last left you, in April, Michigan's own Lagina brothers and friends had found...well, something, in their search for buried treasure, on Oak Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia. Fans (including me) were not happy that it's taken so long to find any real treasure on the island, but I've forgiven them. And, I was just wondering how things had gone on Oak Island this summer. Seems we're about to find out.

According to Monsters and Critics, in an article from Monday, it looks like a "GO" for season 5 of "The Curse of Oak Island" TV series. How do we know? There's been no official announcement from the "History" folks, but two things HAVE happened:

1. One of the regulars - Jack Begley, confirmed the show would be back, when he appeared on a podcast in April

2. More recently, freelance film editor Shane Ross posted, on Instagram, a photo of a computer monitor and a bottle of Dr. Pepper, with the caption, "“Cutting another season of #oakisland with the unofficial beverage at hand.”

In the past, the season premiere date has been in early to mid- November. Looks like we SHOULD be hearing something official, soon.
