If you get into an Amelia Earhart trivia contest at some bar around here, pray that you're not up against Michigan state representative Larry Inman. He's gonna crush you. According to the Detroit Free Press, Larry is Michigan's (and maybe one of the world's) foremost authority on everything Amelia Earhart.

Larry used to be obsessed with the Titanic, but when they found the Titanic in 1985, Larry turned his attention to Amelia Earhart and the disappearance of her plane in the South Pacific in 1937. 22 years ago Rep. Inman started buying up everything related to Amelia Earhart. Larry says, since then, he's spent $1.5 million on Earhart collectibles. He has so many artifacts that he now wants to open a mobile museum, dedicated to Earhart. He's looking for funding for the project now. The Free Press quotes Larry as saying, “Who is going to tell the rest of the world about who Amelia Earhart was and what she stood for?” Inman said. “If I don’t take the initiative, who’s going to do it?”
