Friday is homecoming at Michigan State. A day to celebrate the green and white...or a day to stay far away from East Lansing. The MSU homecoming parade starts at 6pm. However, according to the Lansing State Journal, road closures in the East Lansing area will start around 2:30pm. (They're even closing the East Lansing Public library at 3pm! How will I return my books?!?!)

Anyway, the parade starts at the corner of Abbot and Burcham and will travel east on Grand River Avenue and south on Farm Lane via the Collingwood entrance before ending at Shaw Lane. Officials are warning drivers that because so many roads in that area will be closed or congested, drivers should instead use Saginaw Street to go east and west and Harrison or Hagadorn roads to go north and south.
