Michigan State Alum Helps Area Children

Even several inches of snow couldn't stop Earvin "Magic" Johnson from helping out area families this weekend. Johnson returned to the Lansing area this weekend to take part in the second annual 'Holiday Hope' program at Everett High School. The program helps to distribute food and personal items to local families in need.

Johnson met with more than 200 children from the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing before loading boxes into vechiles. According to the Lansing State Journal, members from the MSU basketball team helped at the event, too. You can click here to see more about the event.
