The Michigan Shipwreck Research Association has announced that they've found the Lizzie Throop, a cargo schooner that sank in Lake Michigan in 1873. According to WLNS.com, they weren't even looking for her, but found the schooner while they were looking for the crashed remains of Northwest Orient Flight 2501 - the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 of the Great Lakes.

Northwest Orient Flight 2501 went down over Lake Michigan on June 23, 1950, most likely somewhere north of Benton Harbor. Debris from the crash was found, but the aircraft has never actually been found.

The Lizzie Throop was found 15 miles northwest of South Haven.
