If State Representative Lee Chatfield, from Levering, Michigan, (in northern Michigan, between Pellston and Mackinaw City) gets the bill he's proposing passed, everybody in Michigan will get three "tax holidays" this year. On these tax holidays, the 6% sales tax would be waved for three to four days on specific items.

According to CBS-Detroit, in June, the tax would be waved for Pure Michigan tourism products (I have no idea what that means). In September, the tax would be waved for back to school clothing and supplies. And, in November (are you ready?) the tax would be waved on hunting, fishing and camping equipment.

I'm in. Let's make this happen.
