The Pure Michigan website has a very cool Fall Foliage Predictor on their website that you'll want to check out if you're planning a trip this fall to see the beautiful fall colors that Michigan has to offer. It looks like we're still a couple of weeks away from the 'peak' times in the northern part of the lower peninsula. They predict that the Petoskey area and surrounding areas will start to see the peak fall colors around the beginning of October into mid-October. Click here to use the interactive Pure Michigan Fall Foliage Predictor.

The Weather Channel also has a Fall Foliage Prediction map that you can check out, too. They predict that mid-October is your best bet for the full peak of fall colors for the northern part of lower Michigan. See their map here.
