With Joe Nichols coming to town to be a part of "Taste of Country" in June, it reminded me that I have a special item that most people have never seen...a Joe Nichols coaster!

Yes, there was a time that if you wanted to, you could have rested your drink on a cardboard Joe. Maybe a cup of Joe...on Joe. Sorry, but I couldn't let that one pass by.

The coaster was an item that Joe's record label at the time sent to radio to promote his first single, "Six Of One, Half A Dozen (Of The Other)". As you can see, it looks at the time like Joe was a "hat act". That of course is an industry term for a Country artist that...wait for it...wears a hat!

As you know, Joe no longer wears the hat, and while you may not know the song on the coaster, from 1996 by the way, you do know all of his big hits! You'll see him do them live on stage when he appears with Dierks Bentley and more at "Taste of Country", sponsored by the Greater Michigan Ford Dealers and proudly presented by 100.7 WITL! Get your tickets for the show here! This is one you don't want to miss!

Oh yeah, here's the video for "Six Of One, Half A Dozen (Of The Other)". Joe looks different, but one thing has always remained the same. He's always sounded great!
