Forty years ago today, the movie Star Wars was released. This was before it was known as Star Wars IV. Before it was messed with by George Lucas, when he added all sorts of digital effects and re-released it in 1997 and then made sure nobody could see the original unless you found a VHS copy at a yard sale. But I digress.

News Corp Australia has compiled 40 facts about Star Wars. Some of which I'd never seen or heard before. Example: Bill Murray was up for the part of Han Solo. Hmmm, that would have changed things.
