Tonight will be a special night in Grand Ledge, as the community will honor former Grand Ledge baseball player, Jonathan Tuthill at the Grand Ledge High School auditorium. Last August, one day after his 18th birthday, Jonathan Tuthill lost his life in a tragic car accident while on his way to work. 'Jonny' (as many called him) was a great kid who loved baseball and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Doors will open at 6pm tonight for the Jonathan Tuthill Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser. There will be several special speakers at tonight's event including Michigan State's head baseball coach, Jake Boss Jr., Steve Springer who is a Toronto Blue Jays Scout & Mental Conditioning Coach, Clyde Wier, an amateur scout for the Detroit Tigers and Jason Colthorp, former WILX anchor and current anchor at WDIV in Detroit, will be the Master of Cermonies. Tickets are available online and will also be available at the event tonight.
