Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden, along with their New York City-based company of dance thoroughbreds, have awakened audiences to a new, exciting genre that combines the best of athleticism, lyricism, technical training and experience. Founded in 1994 by two former Alvin Ailey members, Complexions’ groundbreaking mix of methods, styles and cultures has created an entirely new and exciting vision of human movement over the past decade-and-a-half. These acclaimed artist/ dancers have choreographed for Alvin Ailey, the Joffrey Ballet, Cirque du Soleil, and So You Think You Can Dance. Their creative vision is restricted only by the limits of the human body itself.
