The East Lansing Public Library has been renovating parts of their building for the last year or so, and now, they are just about wrapped up! However, in order to finish any remaining construction, the library will have to close.

You can expect the East Lansing Public Library to be closed to patrons from Friday, August 26th to Friday, September 30th. During the closure, all renovation on the inside will be wrapped up. When the ELPL has their grand re-opening on October 1st, you can expect all new furniture, shelves, and other library materials.

Maybe you you have a book out now, or are expecting one that you've put on-hold to arrive? No worries! While the library is closed, no checked out items will be due (so you have plenty of time to finish reading that book!). And, anything on hold can be picked up between 11am - 1pm and 5 - 7pm Monday through Friday, with the exception of September 5th.

For any of you MSU students who need some library materials while the East Lansing Public Library is closed, you can always make use of the MSU Libraries. Read more about the renovations coming to the ELPL HERE.
