Congratulations – you survived the 2018 Michigan meteor strike
Last night, while while I was watching The Middle and you were....well, doing whatever you do at about 8PM on a Tuesday (it's OK, we won't judge), a meteor came hurtling into the earth's atmosphere at about 45,000 MPH - and blew up. According to ClickOnDetroit, it caused a sonic boom and caused a 2.0 magnitude earthquake. Because it was so bright and it caused an audible explosion, scientists will refer to it as a bolide. (Please use this information to correct everyone at work when they bring up this subject. Thank you)
Here's an update from 9AM - NASA says it was traveling at a snail's pace - and tell your friends who live east of here to start looking for pieces of this thing.
