On October 27th, in Fairfield County, Ohio, bowhunter Dan Coffman took what may be one of the biggest whitetail bucks ever harvested with a bow. Not without controversy, though.

According to FieldandStream.com, some people are actually questioning if the buck was a free range buck (not from a fenced-in enclosure) or if it was even taken legally. New photos have surfaced that show Dan, with the buck in the field, along with an Ohio DNR officer. So, that should put some of the rumors to rest.

But, will this buck end up being the largest non-typical ever taken with a bow? After seeing the photos, I'd have to say, "no". The "Beatty Buck" has more mass from what I've seen.

By the way, if YOU get a monster buck, enter our "Virtual Buck Pole" and win some cool stuff. Good luck this season!
