Best April Fools’ Day Hoax Of All-Time
You may find it hard to believe but one of the best April Fools' Day hoaxes of all time involves spaghetti! Yep. Spaghetti. Specifically, a spaghetti tree. According to Wikipedia, in 1957, the BBC ran a report about a family in southern Switzerland that harvested spaghetti from the family "spaghetti tree."
An estimated eight million people watched the progam and hundreds of people called the network to find out how they could grow their own spaghetti tree. The reported answer from the BBC was awesome: "place a sprig of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best."
