I don't know about you, but when it comes to my family gatherings, we typically opt for a pot-luck style meal, where everyone brings a dish to pass. But whether your do homemade or store bought, that's totally up to you.

One of my family's favorite desserts is the Bumpy Cake by Sanders. It holds a special place in our hearts and in our bellies.

Some sad news for my family and yours if you're also big fans of Bumpy Cake... it might be especially difficult to find this holiday season.

According to ABC 12 News, we might have a Bumpy Cake shortage.

Bumpy Cake Shortage in Michigan Grocery Stores

Sanders has not been able to find a bakery to make Bumpy Cake up to their standards since the old one that produced it closed.

Bumpy Cake was previously produced at Awery's Bakery in Livonia. However, due to the ever increasing costs of production, Awery's closed in September.

Sadly, the CEO of Sanders said that the beloved Bumpy Cake could even be completely out of stock "until we can find a new bakery partner with the capabilities to get us back into production."

Sanders has been around since 1875, and this popular cake has been around for over 100 years. It would be a tragedy to see it go. I hope that a bakery can be found soon.
