If Charlotte Russe in the Meridian Mall or the location at Tanger Outlets in Howell is one of your favorite places to shop, then I've got some bad news for you...it looks like they'll be closing soon. It was announced earlier today that the company would be closing 94 of their locations throughout the United States. Charlotte Russe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy over the weekend. According to report in the USA Today, the mall chain had been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy for some time and has plans to completely liquidate if it can't find a buyer by February 17, 2019.

There are several Charlotte Russe locations in Michigan that are on the list of stores that will be closing. They include:

Dearborn: 18900 Michigan Avenue

Howell: 1475 North Burkhart Road

Okemos: 1982 W. Grand Rive Avenue

Saginaw: 4667 Fashion Square Mall

According to the store's description on the Meridian Mall website, Charlotte Russe is "designed for the 15 to 35 year-old customer, Charlotte Russe is for women who want established trend and fashion at value price points. The Charlotte Russe environment is exciting and comfortable, gracefully embodying architecture and design, with unique design features and appealing displays."
