If you're like me, you've seen just about every conceivable mask on the planet since the COVID-19 pandemic started.

Elaborate home made masks, not so elaborate make shift masks fashioned from bandannas, masks made by someone's Mom or Grandma. Speaking of elaborate, I was having a discussion with some colleagues here at the building today and they were telling me that someone is manufacturing masks that shows your face from the nose down. It's not a clear mask, it's actually either a photo or artwork that is fashioned from your face that becomes part of the mask that you wear. I'm not sure I'd like to wear one of these masks, however.

Call me silly, but I think it's kind of cool to go out with a mask on sometimes and nobody has any idea who you are. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this like I'm some media big deal and I don't want to be recognized. I'm saying this as a regular dude who puts on a mask and I'm out walking around and I recognize someone who may be a friend or something who doesn't in turn recognize me. That's happened a few times and I think it's pretty funny.

I was in an office today during an appointment and I had a plastic bottle of pop with me. Multiple times during my appointment, I would pull my mask down and take a drink of my pop and I kind of wondered if this was appropriate.

Then later today, I happened to run across an article about face masks with zippers in them so you can take a drink without removing your mask. I'm not too sure about this one. I mean I have enough of an issue with just pulling my mask down and taking a drink much less trying to negotiate a zipper that runs from side to side and then have to try and take a drink.

For me, a guy who is a world champion at spilling stuff, it sounds like a recipe for disaster. What do you think?
