The Michigan Senate just passed a bill yesterday that could allow you to bring your pup out to dinner with you! On the patio though, of course.

The Detroit News reports that previously, laws prohibited non-service dogs at all restaurants (including patios) because of health concerns. With this new law, dogs would be able to join their human companions on restaurant patios, with some rules in place... The bill allows for restaurants to "deny entry to any dog, determine the space allowed for a dog or establish other limits. The owner would be liable for any damage or injury caused by their pet."

Don’t be too quick to leash up your doggy and go to dinner just yet. The bill still needs to make it through the State House. Read more about this bill here.
