It's officially the Christmas season! If you're looking for fun things to do this weekend (holiday related or not), here's what's happening around Lansing and Mid-Michigan from December 1-4, 2022.
DeWitt Electric Light Parade
Get ready for the annual DeWitt Electric Light Parade this Friday night (12/2) beginning at 5:30pm along Bridge Street in DeWitt. Antique tractors, fire trucks, and more will be decorated with dazzling holiday lights. The event is sponsored by the DeWitt Area Chamber of Commerce.
Holiday Nights of Lights
Lansing Parks and Recreation lights up Frances Park on December weekends with Holiday Nights of Lights beginning Friday (12/2). Visitors may drive through between 6pm and 9pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between now and December 18th. You're advised to enter using the park's north entrance off Moores River Drive.
Holiday Hullabaloo
The Holiday Hullabaloo returns to Lansing's Old Town this Saturday (12/3) from 10am to 9pm. Participating area businesses will be offering special deals and discounts, and there'll be a variety of holiday activities to enjoy including caroling at Turner Mini-Park and an anticipated visit from Santa Claus!
59th Annual Winter Arts & Crafts Show
MSU's University Activities Board hosts its 59th Annual Winter Arts & Crafts Show at the the MSU Union this Saturday (12/3) and Sunday (12/4). Browse unique holiday gift ideas from more than 100 vendors.
Christmas at Horrocks
Lansing's beloved Horrocks Farm Market hosts Christmas at Horrocks this Saturday (12/3) from 3pm to 6pm. You'll find most of the activity in its Beer Garden Greenhouses, including festive food and drink, live entertainment, and real live reindeer! The promised hot apple wine sounds delicious.
Crumbl Cookies Grand Opening
Friday (12/2) and Saturday (12/3), Crumbl Cookies is holding a Grand Opening event at its new Lansing location at Delta Crossing (near Walmart, next to Hallmark). Enjoy all things cookie and maybe even win a box of your favorites!
Grinch Day at the Market
If you're up for a short drive to Flint , you can enjoy Grinch Day at the Market! Dozens of vendors will be gathered at the Flint Farmers' Market from 11am to 2pm on Saturday (12/3) with tons of Grinch-inspired offerings, lots of family-friendly activities, and even photo ops with the Grinch himself!

Midwest Expos hosts the Lansing Reptile & Animal Extravaganza at the Knights of Columbus building on North Grand River in Lansing on Sunday (12/4) from 10am to 3pm. Owning a pet isn't limited to having a dog or a cat. Meet ferrets, sugar gliders, hamsters, guinea pigs, macaws, cockatoos, snakes and more, and shop for pertinent supplies too.
