Michigan State students are coming back to school on Monday. This will be a difficult time for the students, faculty and MSU staff. We can support them.

This Sunday is Spartan Sunday. The goal is to fill the campus of MSU with love and support for the students, faculty and staff coming back. Get the latest updates here. For more information on how you can help please call 810-334-5195.

You can also bring flowers, candy, snacks, water, Gatorade and cards to hand out to students.

Remember, hugs are free.

Tables and tents will be set up along the Red Cedar at Sparty (Spartan Statue), The Rock and Spartan Stadium.

MSU, East Lansing and mid Michigan are family. When tragedy strikes, family shows up. Showing up to show our support is important. Coming back to open arms and hope can be a very positive experience and reinstill faith. Remember the students, faculty and MSU staff.

Never in a million years did I think anything like this would happen in my back yard. I'm angry, heartbroken and resilient. Our community has stepped up. I find comfort and reassurance with the gestures and humanity of this week. This is another way to support Spartan Nation. If you can make it out to support, thank you in advance. Together we can make a change.
