Visit Some Michigan Museums For Free This Saturday
This Saturday, September 22nd, is the 14th-annual National Museum Day. Nearly 1,400 museums across the country will offer free admission for Museum Day. There are several museums in the Mid-Michigan area that will be participating in National Museum Day. This Saturday, you'll be able to visit places like the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing, the Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center, the Ella Sharp Museum in Jackson and Cell Block 7 in Jackson for free.

According to USA Today, the event is sponsored by Smithsonian magazine, which encourages museums to allow free entry just as the Smithsonian Institution's Washington, D.C.-based facilities do each day.
