UPDATE: According to the Lansing State Journal, Randall Margraves' attorney, Mick Grewal, said that the "GoFundMe page set up in support of Randall Margraves was not authorized and asked that it be taken down. A GoFundMe spokesman said he was working with the organizer to ensure the funds were handled appropriately." Click here for more on the story.

During the sentencing hearing for Larry Nassar in Eaton County this morning, Randall Margraves, father of three daughters who gave victim impact statements today, lunged at Nassar. Margraves asked the judge for "five minutes" alone with Nassar, and rather than wait to hear from the judge, he took matters into his own hands. Margraves rushed Nassar and had to be restrained by multiple officers. Let's be honest here, he did what most of us were thinking... and that's probably why he has so much support on GoFundMe.

Since these events unfolded earlier today, someone set up a GoFundMe page in support of Randall Margraves. In the five hours since the GoFundMe page went live, over $11,400 has been donated (as of 4:07 pm on 2/2). I'm not sure what he'll need the money for, because while Margraves was held in contempt of court, he won't be fined or detained. My hope is that Margraves will take that money and give it to some kind of fund that has been set up to help the victims.
