Since the forecast is calling for some scattered showers and thunderstorms for the next couple of days, I thought it might be an appropriate time to come up with a list country singers that have sang songs about rain. Now I know that there a lot of jokes out there when it comes to country music. Like, 'What do you get when you play country music backward? And, of course, that answer is 'You get back your wife, your dog, and your truck.'  And I hadn't heard the other version of that joke until recently which is 'What happens when you play a country music record backwards?'  And, if you didn't know, the answer to that one is 'Your wife comes home, your truck starts, and your boots fit.'  Oh yes, funny stuff right there. And I also know that there's a lot of people that think the majority of country songs are all about drinking and beer. (There might be a little truth to that one.)

However, it seems that another popular topic in country music is the weather-specifically rain. And to prove that theory, here's a list of the artists with my Top 10 favorite country songs about rain.

Country Singers Who Have Released Songs About Rain

Of course, there are other country songs about rain out there including "I Love A Rainy Night" by Eddie Rabbitt and "Georgia Rain" by Trisha Yearwood. However, I was trying to keep it to just ten. Now, if you're unfamiliar with some of the people in the photo gallery above and you're not familiar with some of the songs listed in the captions, here are the videos for each of those songs for you to enjoy.
