Today is the final day for you to submit an application to be a part of the Lansing Citizens Academy Program. If you're unfamiliar with the program, according to the City of Lansing, it's described as a "course that dives into the process of how the City functions and plays a role in your everyday life."

If you plan on applying, keep in mind that you do have to be a resident of the City of Lansing and you do have to be at least 18 years old. The Citizens Academy program will meet for 11 weeks on Tuesday nights from 6 pm until 8:30 pm, starting on September 8th, 2020. No prior government experience is needed or required and it's free to join. Click here for more information and to fill out an application. And again, today is the deadline for applications. If you have any questions you can contact the Department of Neighborhoods and Citizen Engagement at 517-483-4051.
