Today Is National Teacher Appreciation Day

If you have a favorite teacher in your life, be sure to celebrate them today because May 9th is National Teacher Appreciation Day! Here is a picture of one of my favorite teachers of all time. Her name is Mrs. Decker and she was a 4th grade teacher at Mendon Elementary School in southwestern Michigan for many years. I know her best as my mom. :)

By the way, I should probably explain this photo...when I was in high school I had to have surgery on my foot and had to wear a cast. My brother decided to make it look like a dalmatian. My dad thought it would be funny if he took a picture of my mom pretending to bust it off my leg. I'm not sure why I was reading the newspaper....but check out those acid washed shorts! And that hair! :)
