To Peep Or Not To Peep?

I have to be honest...I've never been the biggest fan of eating peeps however, apparently A LOT of people are as earlier this week Dunkin' Donuts announced that they will be offering a new Peeps-topped donut and a variety of Peeps-flavored coffee and espresso drinks for a limited time. The new Peeps-themed menu items at Dunkin' Donuts will be available starting on Monday, April 1st. (No April Fool's here...) I called the Dunkin' Donuts in Okemos to make sure that there were going to be available locally and according to Jeff Haddad who works at the Okemos Dunkin' Donuts, the special Peeps-themed menu items will be available until April 23rd. Since we're talking about Peeps. Have you ever put one in the microwave? Years ago we used to microwave them for just a few seconds and watch them get all puffy...that was fun! (By the way, if you happen to try this at home, keep in mind that it only takes a little bit of time for them to puff up. I don't want you to have a mess in your microwave.)
