Third Coronavirus Case Confirmed in Michigan
According to the St. Clair County Health Department website, a third person has tested positive for the coronavirus in Michigan. The website describes the person as a "St. Clair County resident identified as a middle-aged adult male. He is in stable condition and is isolated at his home. The individual has a history of domestic travel. This patient took proper precautions early on and had minimal community contact. The Health Department continues to investigate the case." Meanwhile, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services special coronavirus website says that there are currently 172 cases in the state of Michigan that they are currently monitoring. Earlier this week, there were two confirmed cases of coronavirus in Michigan. The press release said that "one of the cases is an adult female from Oakland County with recent international travel and the other is an adult male from Wayne County with recent domestic travel. Clinical specimens were collected and sent to the MDHHS Bureau of Laboratories where both tested presumptive positive for COVID-19. Specimens will be sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for confirmatory testing."
