After missing the last two years due to COVID-19, the 17th annual Moneyball Summer Pro-Am League is back in 2022.

After years of being played at the now-defunct Aim High Academy in Dimondale, this year's summer league will be played at the Holt High School gymnasium.

The league features prominent former local high school players, as well as many current and former Michigan State players.  Former Spartans Draymond Green and Miles Bridges are among the players who have played in Moneyball previously.

Games will begin on Thursday, June 23rd with three games happening.  There are six teams participating.  And there are plenty of local and/or Michigan State players on the teams.

The league is run by Moneyball Sportswear Founder and CEO Desmond Ferguson, a Lansing Everett HS graduate, a former University of Detroit Titan, and NBA player.

Current MSU players involved this year include:  Joey Hauser, Mady Sissoko, A.J. Hoggard, Tyson Walker, Jaden Akins, and Malik Hall.

Other prominent former area high school players participating include:  Holt's Muhammed El-Amin, Lansing Christian's Forrest Bouyer, Everett's Jamyrin Jackson, Sexton's Jalen Hayes, Everett's Derrick Nelson, and recent Williamston HS state champion and future University of Toledo Rocket Jacob (Jay) Wallace.

The league schedule will run through July 28th.  The league playoffs will take place the week of August 2nd, with the championship game on August 4th. Games will be every Tuesday and Thursday except for the week of July 4th.  That will be a bye week for the league.
