That Beautiful New Hot Wheels Camaro Is Built Here In Lansing
If you're like me and always wanted one of those sweet Hot Wheels Camaro cars but was never able to get one because the stores were always sold out (yes, it's been a long time but still a painful memory) you can now have your Hot Wheels Camaro.
Except this one isn't 64 scale and it costs just a little bit more than that 1968 Hot Wheels original.
According to the Lansing State Journal, late last year Hot Wheels and Chevy said they would be producing the 2018 Camaro Hot Wheels 50th anniversary edition here at GM's Lansing Grand River Assembly plant. It's a limited edition automobile and designed and built to look like that elusive little Hot Wheels Camaro that broke my young heart all those years ago. In early February dealers began taking orders for the full size beauty that was recently unveiled.
The Hot Wheels package is available on the Camaro 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible models for around five thousand bucks. Suggested starting price for the vehicle is $31,500.
