I have covered high school sports in the Lansing area for more than 15 years. And amongst all the games, crowds, bands, players, students, administrators and parents that I have been around. One thing brings them all together. A school mascot.

Get that junk out of your house and your yard. Dewitt Bands will even come and get it for their 10th annual Scrap Metal Drive.

The official title is the 2020 Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Year, and local DeWitt High School Football coach, Rob Zimmerman, won the title.

First they took away Sandy, the pony. Now, this.

You'd think they'd all bail to go home. Not ALL of them.
