As COVID-19 hospitalization rates in Michigan see their lowest levels since mid-March of 2021, hospitals are now easing up and allowing visitors more leeway.
Michigan workers have been left in a grey area because of workplace rules set by MIOSHA, the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration. MIOSHA has now attempted to clarify the rules to allow workers to go maskless if they've been vaccinated.
After a virtual public meeting on Tuesday morning, Mackinac Bridge Authority is still tentatively planning to hold the annual Labor Day walk. But at this time, the walk will only take place if 70% of the state is vaccinated.
The Mackinac Bridge Authority is still trying to decide whether or not the annual Labor Day walk should take place as we appear to round the corner in the current pandemic. They will be holding a virtual public meeting on Tuesday to get the public's input.
But we are slowly pulling ourselves out of this pandemic, getting back to work, and hopefully soon, with vaccines rolling out everywhere, back to some normalcy in our lives.
