If you missed the news, a taco seasoning recall was announced last week. According to the FDA, Williams Foods LLC has "initiated a voluntary and precautionary recall of some of their taco seasonings" due to possible salmonella contamination. The seasoning packets that are being recalled include the one ounce Great Value brand mild seasoning mix with the Best if used by date of 07/08/21 and the Best if used by date of 07/09/21. The one-point-25 ounce HEB taco seasoning reduced sodium mix is also being recalled. The HEB packets that are being recalled have the Better by 07/10/21, Better by 07/11/21 and Better by 07/15/21 dates.

Consumers who bought the product with the above "Best By" dates are urged not to consume the product but to discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
