Survey Says Most Michiganders Find Themselves Impolite
Think of all of the places you've visited. What state do you think was the most hospitable? I'm going to have to go with Colorado. Everyone is always in a good mood and how can you not be when you're surrounded by mountains?
YouGov asked people whether they think the people in their state are rude or polite and well, if you were planning a vacation to Rhode Island you might want to rethink it. 42% of the people that live there think the states full of rude Americans. Maybe book a flight to Hawaii since a majority of residents there are polite. Three in five residents say they're more polite than the average American.

I'm going to be honest, I thought Michigan would do better. But hey, I'm just glad we're friendlier than Illinois and Ohio. We're thirty-nine on the list. Illinois was forty and Ohio was forty-one.
I've moved a lot and I was about to blow a gasket if Floridians thought they we're nicer than Michiganders. So, I'm glad to see they don't and ranked number forty-three. Listen, I've met some pretty great people in Florida. But for the most part, Floridians don't dig outsiders. I definitely didn't feel the "southern hospitality" there.
What do you think? Maybe I'm biased but I think Michiganders are relatively polite. Unless you catch us on a bad day in the middle of traffic. Download the app and send us a message!
