New Chinese & Sushi Spot Opens in Frandor
If you've driven through Frandor recently (and survived), you may have noticed a big change when it comes to one of the businesses in the shopping center.
Lansing has had another end of an era with the closing of Apple Jade. It was a longtime Frandor staple before it closed its doors in January.
A New Restaurant Has Opened in Frandor
Now, another restaurant has taken up residence in that space: Sunrise Chinese Food & Sushi.
Sunrise Chinese Food & Sushi (also known as Sunrise Asian Bistro) is the latest eatery to join the Frandor lineup, opening in the beginning of March.
Before that, there was a little bit of mystery surrounding the space, as it first appeared that Apple Jade was just closed for some remodeling. Then, the Apple Jade sign came down and was quickly replaced by the Sunrise sign, followed by ‘hiring’ and ‘coming soon’ notices.
Now, the restaurant—and its website—are fully operational.
Sunrise Chinese Food & Sushi is serving up a variety of delicious menu items: appetizers, soup, fried rice, lo mein, pad Thai, sushi, and more.
So, if you're a person who enjoys Asian cuisine and you're brave enough to drive the Frandor parking lot, Sunrise Chinese Food & Sushi might be the place for you.
More New Restaurants Coming to Lansing
Sunrise isn't the only new restaurant to the Frandor area. Recently, places like Shake Shack, YaYa's Kitchen, and Bubbakoo's Burritos all opened their doors as well.

There are lots more eateries slated to open in the Lansing area sometime this year. If you want to see a full list of everything to come (so far), click HERE.
