According to the National Weather Service, the Lansing area could see some stormy weather later today. Scattered thunderstorms are expected during the midday hours and into the evening hours today. We could see some strong winds with these thunderstorms as the NWS says that the "strongest storms will be capable of wind gusts near 50 mph". But wait...there's more...we've got some more weather issues in our forecast later this week, too. Storms may hit the Lansing area on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. And...it's going to be hot. The NWS says that temperatures will be in the 90s later this week and "the combination of heat and humidity will like push head index values to around 100 degrees from Thursday through Saturday".
