Lansing's Strange Matter Coffee Co. Has Some Big News for 2022

Lansing lovers of coffee and delicious doughnuts, rejoice because Lansing's Strange Matter Coffee Co. has announced some big news for 2022.

Strange Matter Coffee Co. is going to be expanding both, location and offerings this year.

Strange Matter Coffee Co. Downtown Lansing Locations to Reopen

Strange Matter made its first of two announcements on Sunday, January 2nd. This announcement was in regards to their current Downtown Lansing location (the second location of two...for now). They're expanding the store into two vacant, adjacent storefronts and they're also going to be offering more on the menu. Think breakfast, lunch, small dinner plates, and (alcoholic) drinks.

This is big news for the Downtown location, which has been closed since March of 2020.

The second announcement was made (today) Monday, January 3rd. Remember earlier I alluded to Strange Matter only having two locations...for now? Well, that's because they're going to be opening a third location in Old Town Lansing! This spot will be inside the old Temple Building in Old Town. This location will also serve food and alcoholic beverages in addition to its well-loved coffee and bakery offerings.

Strange Matter hopes that the third location will be open later this summer, but that will depend on how the rest of the construction goes.

This is such fantastic news for Strange Matter Coffee Co. and its crew; congratulations! In the midst of so many small businesses closing their doors in the last year or two, it's always so wonderful to hear that a Lansing small business is thriving, especially one that is so focused on community and the impact that they have on it.
