Storms Are Headed To The Lansing Area
The National Weather Service says that storms are headed to the Lansing area (and much of Southern Lower Michigan) later today. The Lansing area is currently listed in the "slight" risk category. The Jackson area and further south is currently listed in the "enhanced" category. With these storms we could see locally heavy rain, occasional lightning, damaging winds, hail, localized heavy flooding and an isolated tornado is also a possibility. The storms are expected to hit this afternoon and this evening. Thunderstorms are also in the forecast for Saturday as well and maybe even on Sunday.
For those headed to Faster Horses at Michigan International Speedway, please be aware of changes in the weather conditions.
