Multiple media outlets, including the Detroit Free Press, are reporting that Detroit's Big Three automakers have agreed with union demands to halt production at American factories.

Details on the shutdown process are expected later Wednesday afternoon. It was reported earlier that United Auto Workers members are demanding a halt to production at all U.S. manufacturing plants. It appears that those demands will be met.

Ford, General Motors, and Fiat Chrysler America are expected to lay out the individual shutdown details for their respective companies later today. Check back for updates as details are released.
